Paris
Paris, often referred to as the “City of Love”, has some of the most awe-inspiring architecture in the world. Apart from the Eiffel Tower built in 1898 for the World’s Fair, there are many other well known places of interest. The list is long: The Palace of Versailles built by Louis XIV, Notre Dame, the Arc de Triomphe which Napoleon ordered to be built in 1799, the Champs-Elysees most famous street in Paris, the Latin Quarter, the Left Bank, the river Seine, Sorbonne and of course the famous Paris Caberet “Le Moulin Rouge”, to name but a few.
In Paris nothing is more that 500 yards from The Paris Métro one of the world’s oldest and considered one of the world’s best. The EuroStar train London/Paris which travels under the English Channel (Chunnel), connects these two great cities in 3 hours. The TGV train reaches the Côte Azur in the South of France in less than 4 hours.
Due to the very expensive property, Paris is not generally known as a buyers market, most Parisians prefer to rent. Since the arrival of the high-speed TGV train there has been a steady increase in Parisians buying a weekend/holiday home in the Provence-Var-Côte d’Azur region.
