This is a nice little place for a visit when you're in the area, and a decent place for a lunch stop. The village has a true heart-of-France lived in feel.
Garéoult has a lot of small fountains and one tall fountain on the Place de la with some interesting sculpted cheribuc-faces.
Many of the village houses are renovated in Provençal colors and others are of natural stone construction.
The village church of Garéoult is the 1884 Saint-Etienne, restored in 1983. On top of the 19th century bell tower is a lovely cylindrical campanile.
A couple of nice old chapels are the Chapelle Saint-Garéoult and the Chapelle Saint-Félix located on a small hill with a source just northwest of the center.
